Join Rhode Island cabaret singer John Abernathy for a musical cross-country road trip.  Through a spirited blend of songs, stories, humor, and heartfelt reflection, John will take you on a journey across America, exploring the people, places, and moments that make the ride unforgettable.  Directed by Ida Zecco and featuring Jim Rice on piano, this intimate cabaret celebrates adventure, connection, and the soundtrack that accompanies us every mile of the way.

John Abernathy was featured in the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center in a tribute to Broadway composer Jerry Herman, sharing the stage with Lee Roy Reams, Michael Feinstein, Marilyn Maye, and Mr. Herman himself. Praised by Talkin' Broadway for his “instantly likeable sound, refreshing and invigorating,”  John received an Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Award nomination for Best Male Cabaret Performer for A Cock-Eyed Optimist at Club Café in Boston. John has appeared as an actor in theatres across the country and toured internationally as pianist and soloist with the musical group “Up With People”. He has released two solo recordings, Look Straight Ahead and Live Out Loud!
