Under the leadership of clarinetist, David Vallee, The Wakefield Dixieland Ramblers capture the vibrant energy of traditional New Orleans jazz delivering an authentic sound that swings, stomps, and sings. Their music will carry you straight to the heart of the Big Easy where every note tells a story, every beat invites you to dance, and where the spirit of authentic Dixieland jazz lives on through spirited improvisation and heartfelt expression. Their performance will showcase an entertaining mix of both well-known and the more obscure Dixieland tunes, highlighting the artists who wrote them and the interesting stories behind them.

The Wakefield Dixieland Ramblers is a local Dixieland Ensemble based in South Kingstown, RI. They are all members of the Wakefield Concert Band and come from all walks of life. David formed the group in the spring of 2019 and they’ve been

entertaining audiences around the state ever since. Each one of these talented musicians shares one thing in common: the love of playing and sharing this unique style of New Orleans Jazz called Dixieland.
