Buy TicketsSex never gets old — unfortunately, we do! How do you search for love when you have cataracts? Can you find Mr. Right at a funeral? Is it okay to feel frisky even when you have bum knees? Wakefield-based writer Eliza Collins celebrates, contemplates, and commiserates in her one-hour show, Sex And The Older Girl.
The show features hilarious original songs written and performed by Collins, age 83, with her music director/producer, Eden Casteel. (Casteel performs her own show within The Cabaret Club series at The Arctic Playhouse on July 26.)
With funny stories from her passionate past and heartfelt messages, too, Sex And The Older Girl is about love, lust and romance — and you’ll laugh no matter how young you are. “If we could, we’d rate it NC-80,” said Casteel. “No curmudgeons under 80.”
Original songs include: “Sex And The Older Girl,” “Handy Man,” “Living Legends Don’t Need To Get Laid,” “Special To Someone,” “Funny Sexy Sad Stuff,” and “Wash Rinse And Do Not Repeat.”
Collins is backed by a live band with Eden Casteel on piano, Joe Potenza on bass, and Eric Hastings on drums.
The Arctic Playhouse actress Karen Besson (Steel Magnolias) and Rhode Island singer Paula Clare (The Dick Clarks, Paula Clare Blues Band) open the show singing favorite jazz, blues, and standards.
